Senior IT Project Manager

We are opening a position for a Senior Project Manager to strengthen our client's team based in Bern. This position is part of a strategic project to implement a data platform, planned over a duration of 32 months. The consultant will be involved in all project phases, from initiation to closure, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the different project phases: initiation, design, implementation, deployment, and closure.

• Develop and monitor the activity schedule following the HERMES methodology.

• Conduct in-depth business analyses, particularly in the context of public procurement processes.

• Prepare and conduct tenders compliant with WTO standards for IT services and applications.

• Actively participate in the design and deployment of the data platform (integration, testing, production).

• Ensure communication with stakeholders and produce necessary project reports.

• Manage risks, quality, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external partners, ensuring strategic alignment.

• Proven experience in managing complex data-related projects (e.g., migration, platform).

• Strong skills in business analysis and requirements management.

• Mandatory HERMES 5.1 Foundation or higher certification.

• Mastery of Swiss public procurement processes, especially those subject to WTO rules.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing data platforms in an institutional context.

• References of large-scale projects (≥ CHF 1,000,000) with involvement of at least six months.

• Very good command of German (minimum B2 level or native language).

• Ability to work independently while ensuring effective coordination with teams.
