Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Senior Cloud Architect to lead our digital transformation initiatives, drive cloud adoption, and architect enterprise-grade solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cloud architecture, agile leadership, and the implementation of secure, scalable, and automated IT systems across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based architectures (primarily AWS) for enterprise and government systems.

  • Oversee the migration of legacy systems to cloud-native microservices and serverless workloads, ensuring full automation (IaC, DevOps, CI/CD).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (on-site, nearshore, offshore) to deliver digital transformation projects aligned with business objectives.

  • Ensure robust cybersecurity and compliance (ISO 27001, SAST/DAST, ITIL) across all cloud solutions.

  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and SLA/KPI monitoring for cloud and IT services.

  • Drive the adoption of data analytics, AI, and business intelligence solutions within cloud environments.

  • Provide technical leadership in agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, DAD), fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate architectural vision, manage risks, and report on project progress.

Job requirements

  • 20+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years in cloud solutions (AWS preferred).

  • Certified AWS Solutions Architect and AWS Developer (Associate level or higher).

  • Strong expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.

  • Proficiency in programming languages: Java/JEE, Python, C#, Angular, React, NodeJS, SQL.

  • Deep knowledge of database management (PostgreSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, MariaDB, RDS, Aurora).

  • Experience with secure software development, cybersecurity best practices, and compliance standards.

  • Experienced in leading cross-functional, on-site, near-shore, and offshore teams

  • Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation projects in sectors such as IP, banking, health, and government.

  • Vendor & Contract Management skills – IT procurement & outsourcing, and SLA/KPI monitoring

  • Excellent communication skills in English and French; German is a plus
