Job description

We are opening a Java J2EE Engineer position to strengthen our client’s team based in Geneva. The role focuses on application lifecycle management, support activities at various levels, and the evolution of an existing enterprise system. The mission includes analysis, development, integration, and continuous improvement of software components within a complex technological environment.

Responsabilities

  • Provide 2nd- and 3rd-level support by investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.

  • Analyse enhancement requests and estimate the effort required for technical evolutions.

  • Develop, test, and integrate new functionalities within the existing system.

  • Configure, integrate, and validate new software releases.

  • Manage and maintain tools related to the application lifecycle.

  • Assess risks linked to the introduction or deployment of updated versions.

  • Prepare deployment packages, including release documentation and installation guidelines.

  • Offer ongoing technical assistance and troubleshooting for applications in production.

Job requirements

  • Strong expertise with Java J2EE, including design, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications.

  • Advanced skills with Oracle WebLogic, Oracle SOA/BPM Suite, and related Oracle enterprise components.

  • Solid experience with Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle HTTP Server.

  • Proficiency with application servers such as WebLogic 12c and Tomcat, and frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, JSF, PrimeFaces, and Spring Webflow.

  • Ability to work with build and versioning tools (Maven, Git, Bamboo).

  • Knowledge of technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, JAX-WS, Lombok, Apache Commons, and SLF4J.

  • Comfortable working on Linux environments, particularly RedHat Enterprise.

  • Capable of producing clear technical documentation and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
