Job description

We are opening a position of DevOps Engineer to join the team of our client.


The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation. You will be responsible for developing and managing services using JAVA automating deployment processes, and contributing to the evolution of our configuration management and orchestration practices. You are looking for a challenge in a complex technical environment.

As a member of a qualified team, you will participate in development CI/CD Core functions, perform development of services to increase the level of automation.

Responsabilities

  • You collaborate with the systems end users and other teams to understand technical & business needs and functional specifications.
  • You design, implement and test services.
  • You participate in the industrialization process using DEVOPS concepts.
  • You perform analysis of defects/incidents to find the root cause of problem.
  • You create and maintain the technical documentation.
  • You review source code to ensure its adequation with the specifications.
  • You write automation scripts.
  • You change from well-established Software delivery procedures specific for each application to new automated Software delivery framework on enterprise level
  • You collaborate with solution architecture (deployment platform, middleware and application engineering) to design and develop CI/CD solution based on existing CI/CD framework
  • You collaborate with software suppliers to define structure and format of the delivery packages
  • You develop and maintain Puppet/Ruby deployment code
  • You participate to the Agile/Scrum events with SAFe Framework.

Job requirements

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in Software Development using Java and 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • You have Proficiency in Spring Boot and Maven for service development and project management.
  • You are expert with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar with strong analysis skills that allow you to understand the technical & business of the existing ci/cd chain.
  • You have solid scripting skills in Bash, Batch, and PowerShell.
  • You are proficient in Git for source control management.
  • You have experience with Puppet and Ruby for infrastructure automation. 
  • You have Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and Docker environments.
  • Having familiarity with Ansible or willingness to learn and potentially transition parts of the infrastructure to Ansible.
  • You have familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Fluent written and spoken English, French or German is also an important advantage.
