Bid Manager

Job description

As part of the expansion of our activities with our Swiss and international clients, we are strengthening our bid management team by opening a bid manager position based in Lausanne or Geneva. You will work in a small team that reports to the management in Switzerland and the subsidiaries and will gain a 360° insight into how our business works.


Responsibilities of the position:


The bid management team supports Sword's business development in Switzerland by processing tenders. In doing so, it ensures compliance with deadlines and the high quality of the documents.


  • Master's degree or equivalent education

  • Professional experience of 3 to 5 years in the service sector (first successful experience)

  • Strong analytical and synthesis capability

  • Good writing skills in French, English and German

  • Dynamism and independence

  • Confident use of Office 365 tools

  • Meticulous way of working and attention to detail

Their role is to:

Processing of tenders

  • Qualification of new requests in English, French or German.

  • Analysis and forwarding of the opportunities to the affected Sword entities in Switzerland or to the subsidiaries.

  • Organization of the GO/NOGO meetings.

  • Mobilization of internal actors for the preparation of the bid response.

  • Progress tracking with the teams.

Creation of part of the content

  • Organization of technical, commercial and administrative tender documents, coordination of roles and contributions.

  • Consolidation of the complete documentation, quality check and submission.

Continuous improvement

  • Updating the content to support the tender documents: presentations, governance, project methodology, profiles, CVs.

  • Maintain the reference system and historical knowledge base in SharePoint Online.

  • Measure performance, identify KPIs, and create a dashboard in PowerBI.

  • Maintenance of reference catalogues and templates.


Job requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent education
