Job description

We are opening a position for a Business Analyst to strengthen the team of our client based in Geneva. The role is part of a large-scale IT environment supporting complex international systems, with a focus on modernizing existing platforms while ensuring continuity of critical operations. The position involves contributing to both the enhancement of legacy systems and the definition of future solutions.

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains

  • Collect and formalize business needs through workshops, interviews, and data analysis

  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to validate requirements and proposed improvements

  • Evaluate the impact of changes on processes, data structures, and system workflows

  • Produce process models and documentation using appropriate modeling standards

  • Work alongside IT teams to ensure proper implementation of business specifications into technical solutions

  • Participate in testing phases to validate that delivered solutions meet business expectations

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline

  • At least 5 years of experience in business analysis within IT projects

  • Strong ability to produce clear functional and technical specifications

  • Good command of SQL queries and scripting for data analysis purposes

  • Solid understanding of application architecture and interactions between system components, without requiring development expertise

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical architects and bridge business and technical perspectives

  • Comfortable navigating databases and reviewing code while maintaining a strong business-oriented approach

  • Strong teamwork, autonomy, ownership mindset, and ability to manage priorities and stakeholder interactions under pressure
