Job description

We are opening a position for an Application Operations Engineer to strengthen the team of our client based in Geneva.
This role supports a key digital solution that powers after-sales service operations, including repair activities for luxury products such as watches, jewelry, writing instruments, and leather goods. The platform serves a global network of over 50 repair centers, numerous authorized dealers, and prestigious boutiques. The successful candidate will contribute to the reliability, security, and performance of this critical application, which is central to the group's ongoing digital transformation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily operational support of a critical digital application used in after-sales service processes.

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools such as Datadog.

  • Manage and resolve incidents using platforms like ServiceNow or Jira, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address complex technical issues.

  • Maintain application architecture integrity, ensuring alignment with cloud best practices (AWS) and database standards (SQL Server).

  • Oversee integration flows based on APIs and event-driven architectures.

  • Support application lifecycle management and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Contribute to the documentation and knowledge-sharing related to system operations and incident resolution.

Job requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in application support or operations.

  • Strong experience with incident management tools and processes (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira).

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good understanding of web application architecture and integration patterns (API, event-driven).

  • Solid technical knowledge of cloud environments (AWS) and relational databases (SQL Server).

  • Experience with application monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog).

  • Background in ERP or Product Lifecycle Management systems is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with international teams.

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Other languages are a plus.

  • Previous experience in the manufacturing or luxury goods sector is an advantage.
