Job description

We are opening a position for a Technical Lead Cloud Consultant to strengthen our teams based in Geneva. The consultant will work with various clients in developing cloud-based upgrade aimed at helping organizations deliver online services such as application filing, public searches, and administrative back-office tasks. The consultant will be engaged in multiple missions, working in international environments and with international organizations.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in cloud-based development projects.

  • Provide technical support to national and regional offices using the client's tools.

  • Design solutions to support the digitalization and automation of administrative processes.

  • Work in consultation with the software architect to migrate existing software components to AWS using native services as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with the support team and regional experts to provide recommendations to national and regional offices using the client's suite of products.

  • Implement technical POCs to support technical decision-making on change requests.

  • Take on the role of technical mentor for other team members.

  • Document recommendations for technology upgrades to the client's suite of products through proof of concepts and technical guidelines.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering

  • Excellent spoken knowledge of English and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. French is an asset

  • Excellent knowledge of Java or Node.js / Typescript

  • Sound knowledge of JSF or Angular (desirable)

  • In-depth knowledge of patents, trademarks, industrial designs, and associated regulatory requirements (desirable)

  • Good knowledge of automating business processes (desirable)

  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate (desirable)

  • At least 12 years of professional experience in software development

  • At least 5 years of hands-on team lead experience or team coordination experience in on-site and offsite projects

  • At least 3 years of hands-on leading development work using AWS resources (lambda, dynamodb, IaC, cognito, SNS, SQS, step-functions, cloud watch, log group, REST api, cloudFormation, cloud-front and other AWS managed services)

  • Experience working in international environments and with international organizations is a significant advantage
