Job description

We are opening a position for a Senior Data Governance Specialist to strengthen our client's team.

This key role involves designing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and strategies to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and usability. The objective is to align data governance initiatives with business goals while enhancing data capabilities and readiness for AI/ML applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current state of data governance and identify gaps.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework.

  • Ensure data governance enhances data capabilities and AI/ML readiness.

  • Define and execute a data governance strategy.

  • Create a roadmap that aligns data governance initiatives with business objectives.

  • Develop and publish at least two data governance-related policies or guidelines.

  • Provide training, documentation, communication, and presentations on data governance topics.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance and management.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing enterprise-wide data governance strategies, policies, and roadmaps in large organizations.

  • Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, metadata, and master data management (MDM) standards.

  • Solid understanding of data architecture and integration.

  • Experience in cloud data governance (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in English for effective communication.

  • Ability to train teams and drive organizational change in data governance.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, or EDM Council Standards.
