Account Manager – Mittelland & Zurich Area

Job description

The Sword Group is looking for a committed and experienced professional to join our sales team as an Account Manager for the Mittelland and Zurich regions.
In this key role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive business development of Sword Group in these areas and manage relationships with some of the most prominent companies.

Main Responsibilities

  • You act as the primary point of contact for your clients and build long-term relationships.

  • You manage and further develop an existing portfolio, ensuring customer satisfaction and sustainable growth.

  • You proactively identify and acquire new clients, expanding Sword’s market presence.

  • You continuously generate new business opportunities by defining effective sales strategies and presenting compelling project proposals.

  • You conduct client meetings, analyze and qualify their IT needs, and collaborate closely with relevant department heads.

  • You work in close coordination with Sword Group teams (Pre-Sales Consultants, Business Unit Directors, Bid Management, and Recruiting) in Switzerland, as well as with our nearshore and offshore centers.

Job requirements

  • Degree from an engineering or business school.

  • Proven experience in the IT sector, with a successful track record as an Account Manager (minimum 4–5 years).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong self-motivation, and a keen sense of service and quality.

  • Strong interest in new technologies and IT innovations.

  • Willingness to continuously learn and grow.

  • Enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team that supports your success.

  • Native German speaker. Very good to excellent command of French and/or English.
