Job description

We are opening a PMO (Project Management Officer) position to strengthen our client's team based in Berne. This role is part of a transformation program aimed at professionalizing purchasing organization, harmonizing processes, strengthening regulatory compliance, and improving project governance related to the purchasing function. The PMO will support the project management in structuring, monitoring, and steering cross-functional activities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Structure and monitor the portfolio of sub-projects related to purchasing optimization.

  • Implement management tools: planning, indicators, dashboards, reporting.

  • Organize steering committees and produce necessary decision-making supports.

  • Ensure coordination between internal stakeholders and external providers.

  • Identify project risks and propose mitigation measures.

  • Ensure proper documentation of deliverables and their compliance with defined standards.

  • Support project management in resource and priority management.

  • Contribute to internal communication about the program and team awareness.

Job requirements

  • Proven experience in project management or PMO in a complex environment.

  • Mastery of project management and reporting tools (MS365, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Knowledge of regulated environments, ideally in the public sector.

  • Excellent organizational, synthesis, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and manage various stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in French (C1 level) and German (B2 level) required.

  • Certification in project management (HERMES, PMI, Prince2, or equivalent) highly desired.

  • Rigorous, autonomous, and results-oriented.
